Install FondateurMode

Time: 2 minutes. You need a Linux server with systemd, root (or sudo) access and your license key.

1. Get your key

After subscribing, you receive the email "Your FondateurMode license key". It contains your key in the format GS-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX and the install command ready to copy.

Keep this email. For security reasons we only store an irreversible hash of your key, so we cannot send you the same key again.

2. Run the installer

SSH into your server, then run:

curl -fsSL https://fondateurmode.com/install.sh | sudo bash -s -- --key GS-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX --email you@company.com --lang en

This command:

downloads the FondateurMode agent and verifies its integrity (SHA-256 checksum);
activates your license for this server;
installs the antivirus engine and the SSH intrusion-prevention module;
schedules the daily report at 4 PM and the antivirus scan at 3:30 AM, at low priority.

3. Check

sudo fondateurmode status
sudo fondateurmode report

The second command sends your first report right away, by email and in Slack if you configured it.

Install options

`--no-antivirus`	Monitoring and reports only, no antivirus engine
`--no-firewall`	Does not install the SSH intrusion-prevention module

Several servers

Use the same key on each server, within your plan's limit (1, 5 or 20 servers). Each server gets its own report.

What is sent, and what is not

Sent daily over HTTPS: CPU load, memory, disk, listening services, number of intrusion attempts and source IPs, blocked web requests, installed software versions, sensitive file hashes, antivirus results.

Never sent: the content of your files, your databases, your source code, your passwords.
